Singer/pianist/composer Carolyn Graye has been active in the Pacific Northwest jazz community for over 30 years. Locally, she has performed at Jazz Alley, Earshot Art of Jazz Series, ACT theatre, Bumbershoot, and Bellevue Jazz Festival in addition to ongoing gigs at several venues. She has lived, performed and taught in Europe (Prague) and been sponsored by the U.S. State Department for concerts and workshops in La Paz, Bolivia and the Balkans (Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, and Macedonia.) She has received grants the Jack Straw Foundation, Montana Artists Refuge, and Artist Trust. She performs regularly as part of Hiroshi’s Jazz and Sushi series. [read more]
